*All guidelines for horsepower ratings are represented as horsepower at the crankshaft on gasoline. This is an industry standard measurement that removes drivetrain losses and other unknown implications that can lead to incorrect estimation of HP when measured at the wheels.

After the enormous success of our Mustang fuel modules we have now gone a step further in engineering a world-leading 1500 hp true direct-replacement in-tank fuel module and quick connect fuel filter kit for the Ford F150 platform for 2015 to 2017 models.

No other F150 Fuel Module in the world supports this much power with the efficiency, functionality, and fuel delivery of the KPM 1500!

The KPM 1500 hp Module simply replaces the existing OEM fuel module to deliver cool dense fuel to support power up to 1500 hp on the race track as well as delivery for perfect manners in day to day city traffic.

Simply remove your standard OEM module and directly fit your KPM 1500 hp module and connect the optional E-Flex fuel filter kit. We also supply a readymade heavy-gauge plug & play wiring kit to support the extra amperage demand. Nothing more to do—job done!

The KPM 1500 hp Fuel Module is engineered, utilizing 2x high flowing, high performance Bosch Racing fuel pumps, all housed in a computer designed, high flow fuel canister and distribution manifold. The KPM Fuel Module is mounted and immersed in the vehicle’s fuel tank as per OEM design and for ease of fitment. Our design incorporates a two dual-acting Venturi pumps and refill valve system to permanently keep the fuel canister full.

This means that you can run the KPM Fuel Module at any fuel level safely across all conditions, without the risk of surge or fuel starvation, including during spirited driving, circuit days or drag racing.

The fuel pumps are both 100% gasoline, ethanol and methanol compatible and able to deliver massive amounts of cool dense fuel at standard vehicle voltages.

This equates to optimum tuning and power levels up to 1500 hp (flywheel rated on 94 octane fuel).

E-Flex fuel filter kit

To complement our range of OEM style, direct fit, high performance fuel system components, we’ve developed the KPM Fuel Systems E-Flex lifetime fuel filter.

The KPM Fuel Systems high flow E-Flex filter is a direct fit to the Ford F150 2015 and up. The kit includes hoses and quick connect fittings. Just connect it inline between the fuel pump outlet and the main fuel line and that’s it.

Features

  • Direct fit
  • 100% compatible for Petrol, ethanol and all race fuels
  • Fully anodised billet alloy housing
  • Lifetime and cleanable 10 micron high flow stainless steel filter
  • Has a provision for pressure and temperature sensor
  • Maintains accuracy of high flow matched set injectors
  • Maintains accuracy of fuel pressure regulators
  • Ensures protection and hassle free operation from your fuel system

Non-compliant fuel filters have been one of the major causes of fuel system problems over the years. This is especially true when using ethanol fuels. The glues and paper elements in the standard filter can’t cope with the effects of many performance systems and high flow setups. This causes fouling and blockages of vital components such as fuel injectors and fuel pressure regulators.

Direct Supply Fuel Methods vs Other FUEL SUPPLY METHODS

Until now, the only fuel system solutions available have been to boost voltage to the fuel pumps, to replace the fuel module canister with a hanger manifold that houses one or multiple pumps, or to modify the direct supply fuel system into an outdated return style fuel system.

All these methods have been stop-gap solutions with limitations:

  • A fuel pump running higher boosted voltages than designed for has the downside of running hotter as well as reducing its service life. This adds extra load on your vehicle’s electrical/charging system. It also creates an environment of hot fuel, which diminishes your ability to optimize performance and creates higher fuel usage and less stable tuning.
  • Hanger manifolds replace the fuel module in your fuel tank so that the extra room for multiple pumps can be used for increased fuel delivery.
Unlike fuel modules, hanger manifolds have no canister, Venturi pumps or refill valve systems to ensure the pumps are permanently surrounded by fuel. This means that you need to run a full fuel tank at all times to avoid any surge or fuel starvation during spirited driving, cornering or excessive acceleration as used in race or drag conditions.
  • Modifying your OEM direct supply system to a return style system when retrofitting to larger pumps. This is a method of trying to keep your in-tank canister constantly full with return fuel to avoid surge and starvation. This was an accepted method in OEM vehicles up to 10-15 years ago. However, in doing so it required the fuel pressure regulator to be mounted externally—usually at the engine fuel rail. This requires double the amount of fuel lines and as fuel demand increases, so does fuel pump current draw.
All this equates to also creating an environment where returning fuel is hotter, diminishing your ability to optimize performance, risking vaporization and creating higher fuel usage and less stable tuning.

Alternatively, a direct supply fuel system supplies cool dense fuel from the tank that is not recirculated, making for a more efficient and modern high-performance fuel system.

Advantages and Features

Fuel Module

The KPM 1500 hp Fuel Module is engineered utilizing two of the high flowing, high performance Bosch Racing fuel pumps. They are housed in a computer designed high flow fuel canister and distribution manifold. The KPM fuel module is mounted and immersed in the vehicle’s fuel tank as per OEM design and for ease of fitment. Our design incorporates two, dual-acting Venturi pumps and refill valve system to permanently keep the fuel canister full.

This means that you can run the KPM fuel module at any fuel level safely across all conditions, without the risk of surge or fuel starvation. This is perfect for spirited driving, circuit days or drag racing.

The fuel pumps are both 100% gasoline and ethanol compatible and able to deliver massive amounts of cool, dense fuel at standard vehicle voltages.

This equates to optimum tuning and power levels up to 1500 hp (flywheel rated on 94 octane fuel).

KPM PWM Fuel Module Controller

KPM Fuel Systems have designed a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) Fuel Module Controller that can electronically run the two pumps housed in the KPM 1500 hp Fuel Module and also be further upgraded to run the 4 fuel pumps as housed in the KPM 2200 hp  and 2700 hp Modules.

We have called it the KPM PWM Fuel Module Controller

Its main purpose is to control the supply of fuel flow in accordance with the engine power and fuel demand. It does this by electronically controlling the amount of current supplied to the fuel pumps.

The KPM PWM Fuel Module Controller has been designed to be a direct fit addition to all KPM 1500 hp 2200 hp and 2700 hp fuel systems.

Cooler Fuel

Less fuel pump current = less heat = cooler fuel = more power

Controlling the current in your fuel pump is key to keeping your fuel temperature down and your power high.

Supplying fuel to support 1500 hp and beyond requires two or more high flow fuel pumps, housed in one or more in-tank fuel modules. The drawback to this scenario is that two or more fuel pumps can generate quite a lot of fuel pump current meaning increased heat. This transfer of heat needs to go somewhere and, therefore, heats the fuel in the tank.

Generally, this is not a concern, however, if the vehicle is idling or being driven for long periods with a low level of fuel in the tank, the fuel may start to reach a point of losing its full energy potential or start vaporizing in the pumps or fuel lines. This can cause long cranking times and hard re-starts. In the worst cases, the fuel pumps will start to cavitate, lose pressure and not supply fuel as intended.

The KPM PWM controller is pre-programmed to monitor your vehicle fuel pressure across all engine loads which in turn allows the controller to calculate the required level of electrical current to your fuel pumps. This in turn delivers the correct amount of fuel to your engine as required in all conditions.

Vehicle model fitment

Vehicles Factory Fuel System Control Module (FSCM)
F150 2015 to 2017

The F150 factory fuel system runs one small amperage fuel pump (approx. 8-12 amps), therefore, the OE FSCM Fuel Module Controller is designed to electronically control only one small amperage fuel pump and no more.

The KPM 1500 hp Fuel System runs two fuel pumps at approx. 16-18 amps each. This is a total of 36-38 amps. You can see that the factory FSCM cannot support the amperage of larger pumps.

F150 2015-2017 The KPM PWM Fuel Module Controller is used as a stand-alone controller and bypasses the factory FSCM. The KPM PWM Fuel Module Controller is supplied with a fuel pressure sensor kit and wiring that directly fits your vehicle’s fuel system. The fuel pressure is then used to calculate the correct current required to run the pumps accordingly.
